A Few (more) Silences (2015)
This conversation piece is inspired by Douglas Barrett's “A Few Silences” in which musicians create live-notation of naturally occurring sounds for a 5-minute duration and then play back these sounds during a second 5-minute duration. With a similar structure "A Few (more) Silences" has participants make observations at the time in which these observations occur. And then these observations are read back at their corresponding times during following 5-minute intervals. The rounds progress to then involve asking only questions, and then a final open conversation. This piece was composed in collaboration with Sandeep Bhagwati.
